Task 10

Halloween Task.

I would dress up as a corpse bride and I would buy the costume from /www.partydelights.co.uk and get special effects from krylon to add effect to the costume.


 




 

History of Makeup.

10,000 BCE: Men and women in Egypt use scented oils and ointments to clean and make their skin softer and mask body odour. Oils and creams are used as a protection against the hot Egyptian sun and dry winds. Myrrh, thyme, chamomile, lavender, lily, peppermint, rosemary, olive oil, sesame oil, and almond oil provided the basic ingredients of most perfumes that Egyptians use in rituals.

Chinese people began to stain their fingernails with Gum arabic, gelatin, beeswax and egg whites from around 3000 BCE. Also lower class people were forbidden to wear colour of their nails.

Task 3



1. What were your expectations on starting the course?
I expected not to have such amazing friends.


2. What are your initial thoughts on West College Scotland and the Media make up course?
I think this course is a good course because it has every aspect of being a makeup artist in it, starting from basics.


3. What is your funniest moment of college life so far?
When hannah wake up from her nap, tried to stand up and went head first into the wall


4. What is the most interesting thing you have learned or learned how to do so far?
The most interesting thing i have learned would be how to make latex scars and apply them.


5. Who is your make up idol?
I couldnt say I had an idol, I like looking at different makeup artists work and getting insperation from different people.


6. Why do you want to be a MUA?
I have always been interested in different types of makeup and like how creative you can be using different products.
